Tauranga-based and heart-led, we are two sisters-in-law, both named Jo. Jo Carter and Jo Payne have come together to offer compassionate End-of-Life Doula Care rooted in presence, reverence, and love/aroha.
With blended experience in Reiki and holistic energy healing, mortuary and funeral care, and personal experiences combined, we walk alongside individuals and their loved ones from the early stages of illness through to transition and into aftercare. We believe that every life deserves to be honoured with calm, dignity, respect and gentle support - and it is our privilege to sit vigil, hold hands, and create a peaceful space for both the client and the family/whanau.
Our role is not to fix or hurry anything, but to simply be - to guide, to listen, and to support sacred decision-making through each step, including advice on funeral planning and affordable D.I.Y Home Funeral and eco-conscious burial or cremation options. Through Reiki and intuitive care, we offer energetic comfort and a soft, grounding presence that helps ease tension and nurture peace.
At Go With The Jo’s, we are deeply committed to ensuring that the end of life is met with grace - and that no one, whether departing or grieving, ever has to walk that path alone.
